Download resume (PDF) ContactLauren Hofstee is a Registered Dietitian specializing in eating disorder recovery, with over four years in the field. She offers compassionate, judgment free virtual nutrition counselling across Canada, weight-inclusive and free of judgment. She provides the nutrition side of recovery, often alongside a therapist and physician, supporting binge eating, restriction, bulimia, orthorexia, ARFID, and disordered eating. Lauren holds a Master of Applied Nutrition from the University of Guelph and is registered with the College of Dietitians of Ontario.
Binge eating is rarely a willpower problem. More often it is the body responding to restriction and stress. When eating becomes reliable and adequate, the urgency tends to settle.
There are no good foods and bad foods, and there is no good or bad you for eating them.
Recovery is not about eating perfectly. It is about eating enough, and slowly taking the fear and the morality out of food.
Weight-inclusive care means the goal is not your size. It is a calmer relationship with food and feeling more at ease, whatever your body looks like.
