About Binge Eating Disorder (BED)

A conversation starter, not a clinical test.

Binge eating disorder involves recurrent binge-eating episodes with loss of control and marked distress, without the regular compensating behaviours that characterize bulimia nervosa. Only a qualified clinician can diagnose it.

This self-check cannot assess all diagnostic criteria, medical causes, severity or overlapping conditions. A comprehensive physical and mental health assessment is the right next step when concerns persist.

Questions people often search

These are understandable questions. This page can help you notice patterns and find language for a conversation, but no online quiz can provide a diagnosis.
